Members, non-members and families are invited to celebrate National Public Lands Day with Girl Scouts of West Central Florida for a day filled with exciting “Go Green” activities.

Eco-Friendly Super Hero Contest
When your troop registers for Be An Eco-Hero: Serve to Preserve, you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to participate in the Eco-Friendly Super Hero Contest! Five troops will be selected from each session (10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 1 – 4 p.m.) to answer questions and win prizes. If your troop is selected, the troop leader will be contacted by the event director. Register today!
Plus, Radio Disney’s Rockin’ Road Crew will be on hand to entertain throughout the day!

Encamptment- Camp Wai Lani- Overnight

This is going to be a great event! Mark your calendars now!

We will be doing overnight encamptment again this Novemeber at Camp Wai Lani.
This years theme is "Best of Both Worlds"

Fee is $15 a girl for everything. If she stays day only $10.
This will include: breakfast x 2, lunch, dinner, campfire snack, patch and all activities.

Drop off will be Saturday, November 14 at 8:30am

and pick up on Sunday the 15th at 11:30am.

We can use registered adults as volunteers. The shifts available are :

Saturday 7:30AM-11:30AM
Saturday 11:30AM-4:30PM
Saturday 4:30PM-8:30PM
Sunday 8:00AM-12:00PM
We need: cooks,servers, activity managers, camp closers.

All You Can Eat Spaghetti Dinner Camp Wai Lani Fundraiser

Beautiful Waters is holding a fundraiser for our local camp,

Camp Wai Lani.

Please try to attend this fundraiser if you are able.. Camp Wai Lani has not had enough use, and we are trying to make it more beautiful, and more frequented. Once it is used more, council will put more money into updating the facility.

Ladies Night Bingo

Council is holding a Council Fundraiser.

This is the 2nd year Ladies Night Bingo.

Any ladies can attend. You do not have to be a girl scout.. Girls, Parents, friends, grandparents are all invited.

Also, we will be working on a Gift Basket to donate. We will choose a theme such as Beach, Movies, Hannah Montana, Coffee, Chocolate.. This will be autioned off at Bingo Night. Please let me know if you would like to donate any items for Bingo Night.

Nut/Candy/Magazine Fundraiser

Nut, Candy and Magazine sales is our first of two fundraisers for the year.

Each year we start our troop fund with this fundraiser. Please have the girls sell as much as they can..

For each nut or candy item sold, we get $1.00 for our troop.
For each booklet of address' completed, we get $2.00 for our troop.
All magazine sales are totalled, and we get 10% of the sales for our troop.

Magizine Money needs to be turned in on Oct 13. Candy and Nut money will be collected when product is delivered. If you would like to collect money up front, you may, but you will be responsible for it until the day it is due.

Remember.. The nut and candy are per item.. not per amount..
Sale starts: Sept 11, 2009 and Orders are due back: Oct 13, 2009 at our Meeting.
